Can anyone please help me find a way to scan the active directory and network to figure out which computers have not been used in a while (I guess by last logon) so that I can delete them from active directory? Preferably a freeware program or a batch file. Thanks

Full instructions here at this link.

I will ask that the duplicate post in the other forum be deleted. It is confusing for answerers and a waste of space when there are duplicate questions in different forums.

Hope this helps get you what you need.

I was really trying to find out how to locate unused and stale computer accounts not user accounts. We have so many computers listed in active directory even though they don't exist on the network anymore. So please pull out another utility out of your bag of tricks.
Thanks again Kimber.

Try here, fourth one down.
Unused account ferret....it's an older version 21 day trial.
You have to enter at least initials and an email address of some description to get to the download. It does both user and computer accounts. Have a look and see if this is what you are after. Comes with a PDF file instructions etc.

Good luck...let us know how you find the program.
