How to reuse an 8MB ATA memory Card. 1

Can I send an old 8mb card to another location and have them write thier translations onto the card without causing issues? I do not have the permissions to run the format card command.
Any workarounds to get this card formatted?

If it is an Avaya translations card, it will already be formatted and it does not care what switch the backup is from, as long as it is the correct size for the switch. If it is just an 8mb ATA card, it may or may not work, it will give you an argument and a fail code if it is not acceptable.
