Hi,

We've an exchange server 2000 with pop3 enable and we're having problem with our appplication call "PARCs" retrieving a pop3 email from this server. I can open outlook and see these mails but from PARCs it can not retrieve these emails. Please provide suggestions or directions on how to resolve this issue???

Thanks,

Kevin

So you can use Outlook to POP your exchange accounts??? Double check that go to command prompt and type "telnet <servername/ip> 110" - If you get connected to the microsoft POP3 server then the problem lies with PARCs which i dont know. If you dont get connected - ensure the POP3 service is running on your server, check firewall settings on your server and client machine

Yes, I did try that command I can get connected no problem. But when I tried it with PARCs and I got error message
"the server certificate could not be validated. quiting"

PARCs tech support setup an secure pop3 email account for me to test and my PARCs database can get the email but when I routed the email to my exchange server. PARCs can not get to it.

Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin

Do I have to set up Secure Access to my exchange pop3 server, if my server and client are both internal and local?

Thanks,

Kevin

In a word no. But i think from your second last post that perhaps PARCS attempts to connect to POP3 servers using a secure connection - thats we guesing from the error msg your getting, that and the fact that PARCS tech support setup a secure pop mailbox for you to test with

Thanks, but PARCs also had a setting in there for non-secure setting to pop3 account. Port 110 and even with that I still could not connect PARCs to my exchange 2000 server.

Thanks,

Kevin
