Good call. One thing to be careful of is how the Search is set up from the CO. If it is round robin, two routes could create an issue for outbound calls, since the CO only sees one route but the PBX would take incoming calls on two.

I would agree with John and go a step further and see if you can get a linear (if it is not already) search set up for your PRI. Then make your new route the last two members of the incoming route search pattern from the CO.

the outbound two trunks would be 22 and 23 in most cases.. those are usually the last two inbound and the 1st two outbound. but scott is right, need to make sure.. stat that pri and do some ld 81 trad's you'll see where the co is sending. way eaiser then trying to get them on the phone..

On E1 service outside US the first channel then in linear order is usually incoming from CO so Channel 29 and 30 in a differenet route like John said is the way to go then in your RDBs set for ICT or OGT as needed instead of IAO for ICOG

thanks.

i was looking at any option in the trunk level itself we can control, rather than in route, but No.

You can do at the Route level like everyone said it's a pretty quick set up.
