How to restore Windows/Exchange 2003 node in cluster

What is the best process to restore a node in a 2 server Exchange cluster? We are using BE 9.1 and Comapq DL380s. We have tried restoring the OS and system state of the node but have noticed that all of the exchange and IIS services were not restored.
