How to restore data From Weekly Tape Only

Hi,

I have a scenario, i need to restore data from veritas, and we dont have monthly backup for last two months. How can i recover data from weekly tapes.
Also our weekly backup takes long time to finish, its takes 15 avg hoours for full weekly and another 15 for exchange full. So how can over came this also.

We have BE 10.0.Rev.5484 with GFS strategy (but seem Grandfather died); and exabyte autoloader with LTO3 tapes.

We don't have that version, so I can't offer much help. I would suggest that you check the setting for compression in your options. If you could compress the backup data, it will make the overall process much quicker.
