will SFC repair internet explorer in windows 2000? thanks in advance

It depends on what needs to be repaired. Sfc just fixes system files. If internet explorer is messed up because of one of those system files then yes. If your needing a winsock fix then no. You can also reinstall internet explorer for add/remove programs windows componets. Take a look at these threads.
