Hello,

I have seen websites where you can navigigate away on a link and come back and the brower "recalls" your position on the page. An example -

where if you click on a link and then use back button, you are right back on that link.

Does anyone know how to accomplish this? And, more specifically, does anyone know how to accomplish the same thing with a DHTML menu? For example an interface in the middle of page that shows/hides <DIV>s, how to keep the focus on the tabs?

Thanks!

This is purely the default behavior for the browsers. You could probably simulate something similar by using cookies and javascript, or turning off the cache and forcing a reload of the page each time the person hits the back button and then coding accordingly server side.

But personally, I think that would just be a big hassle for such small functionality.
