When trying to re-install a Macola Client, The process stops at 9% with an MDAC error! Any tips will be helpfull, Tom

Please post the exact verbage of the error. Also, are you getting this on all workstations or only certain workstations? Also, are you using Pervasive SQL or MS SQL?

I've had a simmilar like this error before, it seemd like MDAC was looking for the original install path for Macola.
I just deleted the macola7.ini in the c:\winnt or c:\windows
dir, this seemed to fix my problem. hope this helps.

The exact Error message is:

Component transfer error
Component: New MDAC 2.51
Error: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

Removing the Macola7.ini file did resolved this issue. Thanks pvm001!

You need to browse out the Macola root and run PWE.exe. If this w/s already had 7.6 on it, you'll need to go to regedit and got to Hkey_Local_Machine\software\macola\versions\Progression Workflow Explorer. Double click on version in the right hand pane and change it to 75.103.0.5 Then, go into the root and run PWE.exe.

K.
