The PC that I have began to blue screen with the following:

STOP: 0x00000071 - SESSIONS_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

I've been unable to boot into Safe Mode and the LKGC doesn't work either. Suspect a faulty driver to be the culprit, I attempted to repair the OS and got as far as where it asks for the Product Key. For some reason the Product Key isn't being accepted (yes, it's valid) so I'm kinda stuck. I can get to the Recovery Console and see that for the most part, the files\directories on C: are still in tact. Is there a way to "undo" the install\repair attempt so that things are (dare I say, blue screen and all) back to the way that they were?

Thanks in advance

(BTW, the only information I've been able to find regarding that STOP error seems to be associated with Windows 2000 Professional).

AFAIK: Nope, you need to continue the install or do a complete NEW INSTALL (wipe HDD and install)...

about the error, the KB Artikle, is applicable to XP, as to alleviate the problem... instead of C:/WINNT/ use C:/WINDOWS/...

At this point is there a way\a program or utility that exists that would allow me to find out what the product key is from within the already started install so that I can continue?
