Hi everyone,

We have an OpenExchange running on SuSeLinux at a remote location, and I'm running Exchange Server 2003 at my location here. I would like to know, how do I go about and have my exchange server pull all of the emails for the users at my location from OpenExchange. My exchange server is on the DMZ by the way.

thank you,
LoJACK

Thanks,

Well, you don't. OpenExchange doesn't play with shared address spaces. There is no option to forward messages with unresolved recipients to a smarthost, nor is there an option to queue mail for remote delivery, nor is ther support for ETRN and it's ilk.

You could play with the SBS pop3 connector, but that gets ugly.

Your best bet is to set the MX for the domain OpenExchange is handling to point to your exchange server, create a recipient policy for the name space if one doesn't already exist [if you're not sharing the name space, the recipent policy can have a blank filter. We need it so Exchange will accept for delivery] then forward all messages with unresolved recipients to OpenExchange.

Someone told me about a third party application called POPcon Pro.. Has anyone used it before and can you give me some feed back on it?

Thanks,
LoJACK
