All,

I know the first domain controller in the domain is different from the second and third DC. The first DC is running the PDC emulator and some other unique stuff. I wonder what kind of hardware protection I can have to protect my first DC. Besides the RAID protection for the hard drives, if my first DC is down for some reason, can second DC or third DC take over 100%?
Can I use the cluster technology to protect my first DC? Any reading on this topic?

Thanks,
BMW

I would suggest getting rid of pdc emulator and install the AD client software from microsoft on your legacy PC's. the only way to have 100% failover is to get rid of PDC emulation Doomhamur
