Guess I am a newbie, but I wanted to answer one question with a thread to another. But I have never done it before, can anyone help me with a 411 on the technique please.

The usual way is to link to the thread, like this:
thread181-1201312

Hope This Helps, PH.

Hi,

In order to do as PHV suggest you need to use the link tags. like the example here...
Tipmaster Tips

HTH.

Peter

Remember- It's nice to be important,
but it's important to be nice :)

Surely the easiest way is to copy the thread number and paste it into the reply box? Position the mouse just after the thread number drag over the number to highlight it, Ctrl-C, click into the reply box Ctrl-V.

Hope this helps.

OR, just type the thread and number in, like
thread702-563868. Make sure there are no spaces and when you save the post, tek-tips automatically makes it a hyperlink.

Thanks Guys,

PHV Pretty funny stuff, lol...
