How to nail ISDN connection with 800 router

I have a 800 series router that is connected by ISDN to an ISP. Currently the router is in dial-up mode. I want it to stay connected all the time and can get no help from the ISP folks because they only know Lucent stuff.

Can anybody tell me how/where to set the configuration to stay connected all the time.
