Dear,
My p570 have a problem that archive files of oracle is changed to quite small size at unspecific time. i want to know what process or user was changing the files. recently i've lost my data several time.
Does anyone help me to solve this problem. i will thanks anyone let me know how to monitor..

thanks in advance!

Do you mean archive files created by the archivelogging facility Oracle has? These shouldn't affect the integrity of the data unless you database falls over and has to be recovered.

Do you perhaps have a cron job which compresses them periodically? Though if, as you say, there seems to be no specific time this is perhaps not the case.

Or perhsps you mean redo logs themselves are being shrunk for some reason? Is there anything in the Oracle alert log?

I want to be good, is that not enough?

thanks, KenCunningham!
