Hi All,

I was using Windows Performance to plot graphics about tape utilization based on Netbackup performance counters as a live source of information during backups.

The problem is that those counters are now grayed out and so "unselectable" (if that is a word...) It seems that NBU stop updating those counters and so Windows Performance can't find active instances to monitor.

Does anyone have a clue how to reinstall/reenable those counters?? Or any other way to grab Tape I/O information??
(I just miss the old and good 'iostat').

Thanks in advance,

MrLula

Environment:
Windows 2000
Netbackup Datacenter 4.5 FP5
IBM Ultrium 3583 w/ 3xLTO3

Hi All,

Just to inform you we found the problem!!

After updating the Robot Changer driver, Windows RSM (Remote Storage Management) was trying to configure the robot automaticaly. Since Netbackup was already in control of the robot this concurrency was causing the problem.

We have DISABLED RSM services and after the reboot the counters are working properly again.

Regards,

MrLula
