How to make WinXP Image Viewer Work on Win2K

Here's a brain teaser that has me stumped.

How do you make the Windows XP Image Viewer work on Windows 2000?

I've tried switching the shimgvw.dll and registering it as the default image viewer application for .jpg. No luck, it returns some cryptic invalid object message. There must be something more.

Any one have any ideas how to do this?
