I am having a problem making a sound (mouseover) work in both IE and NS using DW3 - every computer I try it on is different,
-some open a new window with the quicktime controls
-another computer bring up the Sound Recorder and the user must press play
-while another plays it fine without any problem

What gives? Is there a universal Java Script?

Correct me and slap me if I'm wrong... but I think it greatly depends on what media player and how the user has it set up on their computer.....

If I wanted to stream something like that and you are really concerned with the control.... probably packaging your data (Flash, Auhtorware, Director) would work better since they will only need a plug in to play the whole thing...

Also depends on the format of your sound clip or event... is it a mp3, wav, mid, etc...?

provide more detail and maybe we will be able to figure it out...!

Dumboy.! Ouch.! .my brain.....
