The title is not too descriptive of what I need. And it seems like it should be easy.

I am finishing up a gated community entry control program using Access 2002 and XP. I want to make a report that lists on one page per lot number, the automobile data at that particular lot number. I have a table with the requisite items (lot#, make, tag number, year etc.)

The purpose is to give to each homeowner their page for additions and corrections.

So far I can't get the report to paginate this way.

Any help sincerely appreciated. When this and one other posted problem is solved, I'm more or less finished.

Have you set the report to Group By the Lot# field? If so, open the Sorting and Grouping dialog (VIEW > SORTING AND GROUPING), and select the Lot#. Set the Keep Together option to "Whole Group". This should do what you are after.

Lightning-

Thanks for the fast reply. I thought I tried this but will go back and give it another look.

Thanks I found the solution.

I added a group footer, then right clicking on the group footer on the design view to get properties, then selecting "After Section" for "Force New Page".

This seems to have worked, thanks for steering me back!

My mistake.

That will work only if each group (Lot#) will take more than 1/2 page when printed. If it's less than that you'll get multiple groups on each page. And the real solution is simpler.

Open the Group Header's Property sheet and set the Force new Page property to Before Section. This will print each group on a new page.

Sorry about that!
