I interconnect two PBX a Tribox asterisk PBX and a Norstar ICS through T1. the Norstar PBX has 18 co lines attached to it. and i want from any Asterisk estension to have access to take an co line from the Norstar and make outgoing call. or use a code or DN that grant me access to dial out directly from any asterisk phone. ?

could anyone help me perform this task ?

thank you!

I know absolutely nothing about an Asterix...however it sounds like you already have them networked.

The MICS can accept the tandem from the other PBX using remote packages pointing to the pool between the systems. This is basically how it will work. You will want to set up a public network between systems, send your outbound number with a 9 (or some other identifying number) as leading number to the MICS. In the MICS the remote package will intercept the digits and send them, with the 9 as identifying digit, to a destination code where you will absorb the 9 and send the rest of the digits out the trunks that the route point to.
