How To Make A Graduated Brightness Mask in Corel Photo Paint

I am trying to figure out how to make a graduated brightness mask in Corel Photo paint. This way i can brighten one corner of an image that is too dark.

In Photoshop I would make a brightness/Contrast layer mask and apply the gradient tool to the mask, and then adjust the brightness accordingly.

How can I do this with Corel Photo Paint? Your advice would be appreciated.

Kind regards
Chris
