I've imported a .txt file, creating a new table in the .mdb file of a split MSAccess database. How do I link this table (with the others) to the backend .mdb which contains only tables?

Using Tools / Database Utilities / LinkedTableManager, I can see all the previously linked tables but not this newly added table.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

is the new table in the front end or the back end? sounds like you have put the new table into the front end instead of in the back end?

I put the new table in the back-end and closed the file. Then I went to the front-end .mdb and used Tools/DatabaseUtilities/LinkedTableManager . . . I could not see the new table listed, in order to link it. Perhaps I needed just to continue with this process, relinking all tables and complete the Utility? Would that provide the table in the front end, linked to the back end?

I also tried to put the table in the front-end, and got the same result.

I appreciate your help.

In order to link a table, go to the menu: FILE+GET EXTERNAL DATA + LINK TABLE....then you'll see it in the Linked Table Manager.
