i have a bunch of processes hat i can see in the process info in enterprise manager that are sleeping how do i kill them and also how do i kill the SPID that are blocked

i have tried right clicking on them and clicking on properties and then kill process and also tried

kill (<spid>)

they don't seem to work

The kill command is how you kill a process.

The processes list in Enterprise manager does not auto update. Run the sp_who2 command in Query Analyzer and see if the process is actually still running. It may be rolling back.

It's important before killing a blocked process to see why it was blocked and resolve the underlying issue.
