Hi Community:
I am currently working on an application which controls the enrollment of distance learning students in different courses. This is OK so far, but I can't figure out how to move the records I delete from this table to another one supposed to keep them registered.
If more info, please let me know.

Hi Noelio,
You wouldn't really need to move the records at all: You can add 1 field, (Yes/No). Name it as you prefer, perhaps "Deleted", then anything you do with this table, query for Yes or No or both. If you have under 10,000 records this is a great method to manipulate and search history of all your records. Over 10,000 records, search speed reduces so archiving data could be achieved with an append query, based off of criteria applied to your first table, and moving the records to the second. Gord

Thanks Ghubbell.
So I don't have to create any other table? Sounds pretty nice. Sometimes solutions are quite simple. Thanks again.

Put in your table wich contain a flag deleted or not, and instead of deleting, simply set this flag.
Also, before deleting you can insert records in other table. John Fill
