I need to increase the number of workstaions that certain users may logon to. Currently the max is 8. They should not be able to logon to ALL.
OS is NT 4.

Are you looking at changing concurrent connections? And are your users logging in from an NT 4 workstation to an NT4 server or a netware server?

Unless im missing something... why can't you just check "ALL" in the User Properties under the LOGON tab?

Think you may have a problem. Could try a logon script that checks username against machinename and logs users off if not in the list (could put users in groups and use ifmember from resource kit)

Kida,
The users are logging on from nt workstations conneted to an NT4 server. The problem is that they need access to more than 8 w/s but should not have access to ALL. How do I give them access to more than 8 (The max in the user properties/ logon to).

Thanks for your help.

garthg52, don't know the answer to this, but you may be better to post it in the NT4 server forum.

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

Hey... a colleague of mine came up with a fix... and an easy one. Give the users that need access to more than 8 workstations - give them a second user id!? Slightly unconventional but - it'll do the trick!
