Hi everyone

I am using Access2000 and Access 2002. I have a table that has 4 fields

Employee Name Text(50)
Social Secutiry Text(12)- format$( ___-__-_____)
Sex Combo Box (M/F)
Date of Birth Date - Format$ (mm/dd/yyyy)

A user is going to enter the information and I am affraid that he/she enters a bad data. I want to validate the information before it gets imported into the Tables.

In Access in the table design there is a field name VALIDATION RULE. in the Validation Rule I can add an Expression builder. Can you guide me how to built and expresion to validate the Name (allowed only Alphabet and space but number and special characters)

OR

Is there is a way to place a Function in the VALIDATION RULE and please advice how I can acomplish this task. I know I have to declare a module in the Modules area

Any tips I will kindly appreciated

Thanks
