What is the easiest way to derive Fiscal Year Month from the current date. Assuming Fical year starts July 1st.

So 200601 would be 200607
200607 would be 200701
etc....
Thank you.

Try:

Code:
SELECT TO_CHAR(ADD_MONTHS(SYSDATE,6),'YYYYMM') FROM DUAL;

No, I am going from calendar year/month to fiscal year/month. The calendar month is 6 months behind the fiscal month.

Sorry, you did say that at the outset but I hadn't thought of a FY starting the year before. Is this an HE/FE application?

The term HE/FE is new to me. So, I guess the answer is no.
