We have just recently upgraded to Call Pilot mail and I need to know how I can get a user to be able to forward to his voicemail to a external number. Can this be done please let me know any help would be great.
what exactly are you trying to do. notify a user that they have a message?
If you do this you will need to allow for the numbers, local or long distance, to be dialed from the call pilot. you would do this in the restriction permissions tables. then you would just turn on remote notification on the mailbox, in the mailbox class of service. If you don't want everyone to have this fuction, create a new cos with remote notification.
might be talking about remote call forward, and that is allowed/denided if permission rest list on the class of service, after you log in to mb option 8 0 lets you adjust your zero out option, that allow table is in the mb cos, if you allow the digit 9 and give the vm agents a ncos that allows the call it works, this is a great open door for phone fraud, dial a number in the did range, get vm, hit star a guess the password, they usually try 0000 1111 or the ext in reverse... after 3 tries, they dial the next number in your did range.. i've seen a list of 80 number's that were zero out to 9, giving a remote caller access to free ld to the tune of about 80 grand in less then a week. the calls were traced to the state penn... business had to pay the bells to south america, some of them 30 hours long
