I need to update the BIOS on my ASUS P5A-B motherboard and I am running Win2K OS. Unfortunately I can't use ASUS's new LiveUpdate to flash my BIOS so I need to use an .EXE called AFLASH. To use AFLASH I need to make a bootable floppy and run it during boot, but Win2K creates 4 floppies instead of the 1 floppy needed for Win 95/98. Can I create a Win 95/98 boot disk and use that instead? Anyone ever encounter this before?
Thanks.

Use the above link to get the latest rev of the P5A-B bios and get the aflash utility. You can flash the bios from a basic Windows system floppy(basic boot disk). Copy the (unzipped) bios update and aflash to the disk and boot up on it. At the command prompt type "aflash" and follow the on screen instructions, make sure to save you current bios to disk before flashing (menu option is provided to do this).
If you like, post your email and I will send you the latest rev of bios and the flash utility in the morning.

***Also, does your board have onboard audio or not?***

Thanks bas.
I DLed aflash and the latest BIOS. How do I make a basic boot disk? Win2K says I need 4 floppies to make a boot disk. ?? My board doesn't have onbaord audio - I don't think - so do I need the flash util. instead?
Thanks again.
