How to find whether its Windows 2003 R1 or R2?
Is there anyway. I tried winver command frm run but it doesnt says anthing lile R1 or R2.

right click "My Computer", if its an R2 release, it should say R2 in the listed version on Genral.
The "R2" is listed as a service pack...and what its classed as

Run > wbemtest > connect > "root\cimv2" > Open Class > "Win32_OperatingSystem" > Instances > open Single listed instance > look at property CSDVersion.

It will either be blank, "Service Pack 1", "Service Pack 2", or "R2"

Hope this Helps.
