We've just had a swine of a day involving an SBS2000 upgrade and several cups of coffee...

Anyway to cut a long story short we have all our Exchange data in a 'dead' winnt.sbs folder and would like it back. We plan to get Exchange 5.5 working on another machine to use the databases but we need to know the organisation and site info first.

Big question is, how do we find this info and all other info we'll need without being able to look in the Exchange Administrator?

(usual story, didn't think there'd be a problem, no documentation...)

thanks for any tips.
Dave.

Check the following registry key on the old server
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeCCMC\Parameters

or without the registry, edit the dir.edb file in wordpad and its in there...
