Is there an easy way of excluding certain addresses from receiving an out of office reply (I'm using Outlook 2003 on an Exchange 5.5 server) I want to use OOO, but dont want auto replies to go to my mail lists, system generated emails etc.

I've tried setting an OOO reply, then adding a rule that tells it to end processing if from a specific sender, but it looks like it sends the reply before processing the rules.

Any suggestions?

Hi Chopsy,

I don't know the answer and can't investigate because I'm not running Exchange, but Out of Office replies are sent from the Server - nothing in your Rules is run because you're not there (by definition) so I would guess that unless the option is clear in the OOO setup it's probably not available.

Enjoy,
Tony

Chopsy.

You can do it by not using the out of office wizard and setting up a manual rule that is fired on an incoming mail.
The rule could send an out of office reply to anyone who isn't on your list of excluded addresses.
The downside is where as the reply wizard only sends 1 OOO reply this would send one everytime you recieve a message.
