is it possible to modify my computer's dns cache?

for example if i do ipconfig /displaydns i get something like this:

----------------------------------------
Record Name . . . . . : Record Type . . . . . : 1
Time To Live . . . . : 86300
Data Length . . . . . : 4
Section . . . . . . . : Answer
A (Host) Record . . . : publicipaddress

what i would like to do is to modify "publicipaddress" above.

i'm running windows xp pro.

Please advice.

Thanks,

Mike

All you can do is flush the DNS cache so that this A record will have to be resolved again.

ipconfig /flushdns

Chris.
