is there a way to disable the web(IExplorer or firefox)...but still be able to send emails via outlook lets say?

Many Dial-up ISP's have Internet Access Plans for just E-mail access and no other browsing.

Perhaps you could supply a few more details of what you are trying to achieve and what type of setup you have?

Do you want it to apply to one particular user or everyone?

well the computer is part of a domain...and yes it is for on pacticular user.

the computer will be connected through a lan line (highspeed)

can't you just block port 80 for that user. pop and smtp use different ports and blocking port 80 should stop internet access but still allow email access.

I've never tried this I have to say, but it seems logical.
