how to disable the IP Address edit box?

hi, i tried the method

GetDlgItem(IDC_IP_EDIT_BOX)->EnableWindow(FALSE);

But it doesn't work, it works fine with the edit box.

anyone can suggest a method to disable the IP Address box?
