I am trying to find out witch datastore my citrix farm is using. The terminalservers were set up to connect to an MS SQL 2000 database-server at setup. Yesterday I upgraded my farm to Presentation Server 4.0 and now I can´t agree with myself where it actually connects.

The only ODBC connection I see on "system" is the one that maps to the local host cache. How can I put on screen the actual datastore in use? I know about the dscheck command ... but that only checks god-know-what ... and the dsmaint command is just used to configure the datastore, not give any output on the actual configuration? or what?

Look for Datasourcename reg key via Hkey-localMachine--software--Citirx--IMA...this should tell you where/what DSN file you're using, navigate to the file and edit it with a notepad to see the servername and datastore description your farm is using...

Sometimes, you just have to forget your head and grab your balls ...!

Not entirely sure, I will have a check at one of my sites.

Currently upgrading so have both [smile]

Cheers

ctxuser:
It seems like they runs against the SQL server, so then everything is ok.

It is the datasourcename value that indicates witch ODBC connection is used for the connection to the datastore.

[ODBC]
DRIVER=SQL Server
UID=Citrix
DATABASE=DataStore
WSID=terminalserver1
APP=Citrix IMA
SERVER=mydbserver
Description=MyFarm

Thanx for the tip ... and another star for you!
