I have a Cisco 3548XL switch. I want to ensure it has the latest IOS version, but don't know where to find that on CISCO's site.

I see that 12.4 is out, but don't know if my switch is compatible with that. Anyone know where to check compatibility?

Thanks,
Dan

The 3500XL (& 2900XL) series have only 12.0 IOS available - these are EOL anyway.

The latest IOS for these switches is 12.0(5)WC14.

Thanks, Andy.

I have a rhetorical question: Why is it so hard to find things like that on Cisco's site???

Thank you for your help. I couldn't find that info.

It's pretty simple if you have a CCO login because you can go to the Software Center or use the Software Advisor tool. If you don't have a CCO login, I think you can still go to the IOS documentation page and look at the release notes.

Go to the Cisco home page and then select Technical Documentation -> Switches -> Cisco Catalyst 3500 XL Series Switches -> Release Notes.

HTH,
John

The section for "Release Notes" is where to look for the latest relevant IOS versions? That helps, thank you.

I do have a CCO login, but tried using the "Software Advisor" which didn't help a lot.
