Hi,

What is the command to determine the size of a disk without using the format command?

Thanks,

Try prtconf -v... Keep in mind there is a lot of data because prtconf is being run in verbose mode. But, the disk information is listed. Depending on what type of workstation/server you are running this on, the devices you are looking for are dad, st, sd...

other sources:
prtvtoc /dev/rdsk/c?t?d?s2
if you have installed Legato Networker you have a (SCSI) inquiry command insalled (grep inqui /var/sadm/install/contents)
if you can shutdown the host ;-) you could use probe-scsi-all

Best Regards, Franz
