The items shown in the start menu are normally disabled one at a time. The values to change this are located in the registry at location HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

I cannot think of a way to disable the "Windows Keys" itself.

WalterJolon,

I seem to remember there was a thread on this issue a while back. Try using the search facility to find it.

Please don't include sponsor links in your threads.

Hope that helps,

Stewart

Stewart,
Those "sponsor" links are a new feature of Tek-Tips (by way of Google). Because people haven't been contributing (financially) to this site as much as hoped, the management had to come up with an alternate financing scheme to allow it's continued existance.

Everyone,
If you have strong feeling for or against these links, please make sure you send them to the "Contact Us" link above. Note: it's especial important to report any "shady" or offensive links. Because this is automated, some bad ones may get in.

Rick

Thanx Mike, I will keep looking for something that helps!

Thanks Rick and apologies to Walter - I realised my mistake when I saw them on another link [blush]

Shame though, I'll have to think about increasing the amount my company gives.
