How to deploy a Hotfix?

Does anyone know how to deploy hotfixes from the windows xp service pack 1 cd.
I have read the guide on the cd but cannot find the file Q###.exe (where ### is the microsoft knowledge base item no) after extracting the files to my hard drive. I cannot find any of these files, let alone the one i want.

Have tried the XP forum but came up with no answer.

and u can download deploy tools from this site
