Any one knows how to define more than 15GB of paging space in windows 2K advance server with SP4? I have one running with mirrored OS and now i tried to define 20Gb of paging space but then limits me to 4GB only, though i put i /PAE already on the boot.ini. Any idea?
I tried on my XP and its working. but then in advance it does not allow me.

thanks!

Hmm interesting I've never looked into max pagefile sizes before, I just figured it was limited by free disk space ont he volume it was assigned to. I have to ask though, why the heck would you want/need a pagefile that big?

/PAE is only to be used if you have more than 8GB of physical memory. What is the config of your server? Did you also use the /3GB switch in conjunction with /PAE?

Either way to the best of my knowledge this switch does nothing to increase any limits ont he size of a paging file.

The paging file should only be around 1.5 times the size of your physical memory. You should look at using multiple paging files on different physical disks for additional size and better performance.

I hope you find this post helpful.
