how to debug

hello
i have checked for debug=true in the web.config file but still am unable to debug my applications by inserting breakpoints.Is there any other way to so it .but control+f5 is working .

What happens if you try to debug the application via Stsrt-->Start Debugging in Visual Studio? Does the application open? Do you get any errors?

yes the applications open,and shows if any errors
but if i insert breakpoints and debug line by line it is not working
