Hi All

I've just got myself a brand, spanking new copy of MS Office 2000 developer ed. and want to create an executable version of my MS Access database. Any one got any ideas where I can go on the web for some help ?

Thanks :)

I "Think" there are some FAQ's on that in the here. I glanced in there but could not find it. There has been a lot of discussion about it in here in the last ~8 months~.

But if I'm not mistaken you don't just click a button and end up with a .EXE like in Visual Basic.

You have to create a deployment package like in VB.
So you end up with 30 some odd files or a few Large CAB’s or …

You cannot actually create an executable version of an Access database. You can compile to create an .mde, if you are worried about user's viewing/modifying your forms and code. The developer edition simply allows you to create an installation package that will install a run-time version of Access on a user's machine, if they do not have Access installed. Rob Marriott

Thanks all, guess I ddnt phrase it very well :) I am trying to get the runtime version for license-free installations at client sites.

Thanks again for the info.
