How to create a Bookmark range in a word template

I'm using Word XP and I'm trying to add a bookmark range to a word template. For the life of me I can't remember how I did it before nor can I find any information on how to add it. As I recall a bookmark range is different than just adding a bookmark. I will be using this template by accessing it via Access 2000.
