How to create a batch file in linux 7.2

Is it possible to re-name some linux commands with my own commands using a batch file(which runs at login)
In other words: I want to create a batch file which will customize the environment in linux..

eg: change linux command "suspend" to "spd" or sth like that..

Sure, but 'autoexec.bat' in Linux works a little bit different ;-) Check 'man bash' and search for .bashrc and .bash_profile.

you can set aliases that will execute other commands and can even pass command line parameters.
alias lc="ls --color" (I think that is the correct syntax)
