I'm trying to determine the best way to count calls that come in during off hours, mainly for Sunday when we are closed entirely. I thought about setting a counter and setting a short code to call the counter, which I assume would read off the number. I tested this and the short code didn't work, so I am sure I just set the short code wrong. Is my methodology the most efficient way to do this or is there an easier way?

We have the Avaya CCR system, but off hour calls get rejected in the auto attendant before hitting the CCR software.
We used to have a program called OfficeWatch which may work, but I'd like to see if it can be done without having to pay for it.

Go use this, it's free;

So, you have CCR, then you have DB license for VMPro as well.
You can make a nice little report with that feature, logging calls, CLI, time/date, etc.

Some programming skills are needed.

You can even make special modules for VIP customers or other cool functions like remote TTS readback of the current accumulated amount of lost calls (that's not a feature in any call logging tool that I know of).

If you need any help, I might have something you could tweak a bit to fit your needs.

CCR sucks btw:)

Kind regards

Gunnar

@Gunnaro

That would be really handy. Does VM Pro just use MS SQL?

Among others, but MS Access is probably the easiest to get going.
No extra installs at all.

I'll dropbox it a bit later here.

Kind regards

Gunnar

I had nothing that would work straight out of the box.
But...I opened my mouth, so I'll fix something for you.

Kind regards

In the AA go to the reporting tab and run the voicemail report.
It will show the amount of times that the AA has been hit.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Looks like that smdr receiver might suit our needs for this. Gonna try it out for a bit and see how it does.

Did you read my response?

I did, though I don't seem to fully grasp what you suggested. I went into our off hours AA and checked the reporting tab, but this doesn't seem to be an option to run the report. I have 3 check boxes. Flag the current call has been answered by Voice Mail, Request to call back the current caller, and Send reporting information.

Send report information is the one you need.
Then in CCR go to reports and select voicemail reports.

A bit later" is 120 hours, like in the old days when we exchanged Commodore 64 turbo tape cassettes by mail [smile]

15 minutes of psychedelic colour show, no wonder we found the game graphics awesome [bugeyed].

Anyway, I made the module, it's in this thread940-1741732

Kind regards
