How to convert XPpro from eval to eopen?

Hi there,

Got a machine with WXP pro eval version, however used by user as production machine.

After almost 3 months, we got msg prompted that eval period gonna expire soon, so I need to change this machine to a real version, now purchased 1 additional eopen lic of xp pro.

My question is how to upgrade from eval version to eopen version without affecting existing data on harddisk? I don't want to reinstall all existing applications, or backup/restore existing user data.

An In-place upgrade should be what you are looking for, it will reinstall the core XP o/s files but leave user data and settings in tact.
