We have 1 master and are/need to hookup
a media server at remote location.

Instead of dishing out $5k for consulting, wanted to know
where i can get info on this config.
thanks gang

You are going to need to purchase licensing.
Talk to your sales agent and make installation/configuration part of the purchase.
It should be part of maintenance anyway.

yeah, were getting licensing from our vendor
but they charge $$ extra to fly out and install/configure.

i'm pretty familiar w/ netbackup, but never setup a media
and configured.
anything in the manual ? i couldnt find it.

thanks Bob

First add the server to the master's bp.conf
When you install the software it will prompt you for the master server..etc
answer the questions and install the license.
Once thats done you can use tpconfig to add the robot and drives.
Then create a storage unit.

There is some doc in these 3 manuals:
DC install guide
media manager sys admin guide (tpconfig)
media manager device configuration guide

They are located on the installation CD and also
available via download from VERITAS website.
