How to configure IMAP4

We have a remote site, those users want to access our exchange server.. Currently they are on another domain and using that companies exchange server. Soon they will become part of our company and we need them to access our email server. We do not want to do a trust relationship w/the other site due to security reasons. Does anyone know how to configure IMAP4 on exchange server 5.5 so the other site can retrieve email in case we create an email a/c on our exchange server. Will IMAP4 do the trick if so, how do you configure it on our current exchange box and what does the remote site need to do in order to connect to us to download their emails.. please advise....
