how to cisco ip 7940 to cisco catalyst 4006

hai,

we are having cisco 4006 catalyst switch and cisco ip phone 7940.

cisco 4006 catalyst has 48 10/100 mbps ports whic provides inline power.

i used the following setup whether it is correct or wrong.



cisco router------->catalyst 4006<----------call manager


catalyst 4006<----------(network port)ipphone (access port)----->pc


whether the above configuration is correct or wrong.


i connected the call manager to one of the ports of catalyst
switch.and then ip phone network port is connected to the
switch.ip phone access port is connected to the pc.



please give a solution.

Thats fine with what you're doing.. Its an ethernet based solution, so you could have them hooked up anywheres as long as there is enough bandwidth to accomidate the needs...
